It is as easy as adding heavy whipping cream, vanilla extract, and sugar to the blender container.
Start with the machine at low speed and slowly turn up to high. Once you have achieved the desired consistency, stop blending and enjoy your delicious homemade whipped cream!
How To Make Whipped Cream In Vitamix
- 2 cups of heavy cream (about 480 ml)
- 3 Tablespoons of granulated sugar (About 40g)
- Salt and sugar for taste
- Vanilla Extract
The whole process only takes a few minutes, and you can make as much or little whipped cream to suit your needs.
You’ll need heavy whipping (or “double”) creamer for this recipe – the higher fat content helps with stability in both texture and flavor when making homemade dairy products like buttercream frosting!
If using canned milk, make sure it’s whole milk, not skim or low-fat.
First things first: you’ll need to chill your ingredients before making whipped cream!
The best way is in the fridge for at least an hour – if using canned dairy products that have been chilled overnight then they’re ready go ahead and skip this step.
Next, measure out the heavy whipping cream (or “double” creamer) into a chilled mixing or serving vessel. Make sure to use at least two cups of liquid for every cup you’re using in dairy! This ensures that it will whip up nicely when we add our sugar.
Now, to make whipped cream in Vitamix, add the sugar and a pinch of salt to your chilled cream.
Then, add in any flavorings you want – vanilla extract is always delicious!
Give it all one last stir and start the machine on low speed before hitting “high” on our Vitamix machine for at least 30 seconds or until we see that whipped texture appear (if not using canned dairy products).
If you want to make it even thicker, add in a tablespoon of cornstarch and mix well.
Finally! We’re ready for the best part – tasting our creation (and maybe topping off that hot chocolate with some whipped cream)!
Store your leftover whip cream by placing plastic wrap over top or pouring it into an airtight container so you can enjoy it later.
