Ninja Berry Smoothie
The Ninja berry smoothie is an easy way to start your day. You can make it by blending together skim milk, frozen strawberries and blueberries, soy yogurt, ice cubes, and a few other ingredients.
This healthy breakfast alternative makes about two servings, so it’s perfect for sharing with someone else – or having one for yourself on the go!
Back at the old home place after six months of being on my own I just didn’t have the time to cook down all those fruits into a juice. So I decided to buy some frozen fruit instead.
At first, I bought just regular frozen strawberries, but these were soon replaced by frozen mixed berries as the latter is healthier and even tastier (and cheaper!).
Another advantage of using frozen fruit is that it saves you the time to cut or even blend fresh fruit, resulting in one less step and thus less washing up too.
Still, I kept buying berries at the market every now and then to mix things up a bit.
One day I mixed all my leftovers together (including some banana), poured them into an old ice cream pot (the perfect size for only one portion), and stuck it back into the freezer.
A few hours later I took it out again, whipped everything together with milk, yogurt, and ice cubes – voila!
I really like this breakfast alternative because it is not only delicious but also healthy.
You can feel your body getting stronger as all the vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants are slowly released into your bloodstream.
The best thing about this breakfast is that it doesn’t require any time to make except for cutting the fruit which you have put in the freezer earlier anyway or blending everything together with milk etc., which takes no more than two minutes.
