Choosing The Right Ingredients
Strawberries are one of my favorite fruits, so naturally, I had to test out this recipe.
The first time around, I used strawberries that were on the smaller side and they turned out great.
However, this time around I decided to use ones that were a little bit bigger.
As you probably guessed – it was not as successful.
Since strawberries vary in size so much, it’s best to choose the middle-sized berries when making homemade sorbet! They will give your sorbet a good texture while also helping keep costs down since larger fruit is usually more expensive.
If you’re wondering what kind of sugar to add – don’t worry about it! For a little extra sweetness, add a spoonful of agave or honey on top once you’ve dished the sorbet out. Alternatively, if you want to skip the sugars altogether, that’s fine too.
All of these ingredients are easy to find at your local grocery store and they don’t require any fancy equipment aside from a food processor or even just an immersion blender!
This is definitely one of my go-to recipes when I need something quick and nice to eat after work.
