Can You Blend Almonds In A Nutribullet?

The Nutribullet is a small, personal blender that offers you the option of adding fresh fruits and vegetables to your favorite drinks.

Many people also use their Nutribullet for making smoothies.

We put this question to the test: can you blend almonds in a Nutribullet? The answer will surprise you!

Can You Blend Almonds In A Nutribullet?

Yes, you can use a Nutribullet to pulverize almonds. But, it won’t make them into fine flour-like when you use a food processor or thicker blades in a Vitamix blender.

A higher speed and textured surface are needed to grind hard materials like nuts; this means the blade needs to be thinner and spinning faster.

That’s why nut butter made in blenders or food processors has such an amazing consistency – they’re able to get all those particles so finely blended together into one smooth texture!

If you want less work with having to maintain constant stirring of your ingredients then stick with what does achieve that consistency for you (food processor).

This doesn’t mean that the Nutribullet isn’t a useful appliance.

It can still give you many of the benefits and tastes that come with making nut butter, just not in the same way as a food processor or Vitamix might create them for you!

Which Is The Best Nutribullet For Blending Almonds?

I love making almond milk with my Nutribullet 900!

It’s super easy, cheap, and quick to do.

I can make a few servings at once if needed but it usually just takes me 20 minutes or so for two cups of almonds in the morning.

My favorite way is adding turmeric powder for an extra dose of anti-inflammatory benefits that tastes great as well!

Here are some more options for a blender for nuts.

Place 1.5 cups of unsalted almonds, 3 tablespoons vegetable oil, a tablespoon of honey (optional) into the NutriBullet® short cup with 18 ounces capacity.

Pour over them your favorite amount of salt – I recommend around ¼ teaspoon for most dishes but use as much or little as you want, depending on how salty you like it- attach the extractor blade and blend until smooth scraping down sides if needed.

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks!

Nutribullet Almond Milk Recipe

Place your soaked almonds in a Nutribullet and add filtered water to the fill line.

Blend for 5 minutes, then place a nut milk bag over another bowl or large cup with enough room on top so that you can squeeze all of the almond milk out through it without spilling any into the other container while inside.

Squeeze as much liquid from your mixture as possible until there’s nothing left but pulp!

Rinse off both blender and lid before returning them back where they belong when finished creating creamy, delicious almond milk; replace this newly strained liquid with sweetener (if desired) then blend again at high speed for one minute.

Sweetener choices and amounts depend on your tastes.

I like 1-2 Tablespoons of honey, maple syrup, or agave for a less sweet taste.

If you want it sweeter, 5 dates should do the trick as well as natural sugar-free Stevia (check package directions).

Add this to almond milk at first sparingly if you don’t care for more sweetness – then add some more until satisfied with flavor!

Be sure not to forget salt either; while adding some can bring out nutty flavors depending upon preference, leaving it out is another way to control sodium content in homemade drinks without having too much added into commercial preparations.

If you want to spice up your almond milk, try adding a teaspoon of vanilla extract, cocoa powder, or cinnamon.

I’ve also heard that coffee and cocoa nibs make for an interesting flavor profile – so maybe use these in combination with the other spices?

The amount of water used determines how thick it is (just start out with less) but for me, this typically means using almond milk as part of my smoothies versus cereal where I like a thinner consistency.

Store any unused portions refrigerated in sealed containers no more than 2-3 days after the preparation date on the container has been reached!
