Can You Make Applesauce In A Vitamix Blender?

You certainly can! Making applesauce is very easy in a Vitamix, and it’s one of my favorite things to make while apples are in season.

Apples are pretty low-calorie but they’re also high in fiber, which makes them great for your digestive system.

Apples are also good for your cardiovascular system because the pectin in them helps lower bad cholesterol levels.

What Can You Add To Applesauce?

This simple Vitamix applesauce calls for no added sugar – but there are plenty of ways to spice it up.

Cinnamon is the traditional option, but nutmeg and even pumpkin pie spice can be used to give it more fall flair.

Experiment with different combinations to find your favorite flavors!

1) Getting Started

First, wash the apples thoroughly in cold water and cut off any bad parts or bruises on them.

Next, peel all of the skin off of the apple (this can be done by hand or using a vegetable peeler).

Now slice up all of your peeled apples so that they’ll fit inside your blender without being too crowded while blending it together until it becomes smooth and even.

2) Blending The Apples

First, pour 1/4 cup of water into your blender.

Place the metal blade attachment inside the blender container and put it on the lid tightly.

Turn your blender on to its lowest setting first, then slowly increase to a higher speed depending on how much power you have with your Vitamix blender.

Blend for about 20 seconds until it becomes smooth enough that you can’t see any chunks or pieces of apple left in there anymore.

If you need to blend longer, just repeat step 2 until it reaches your desired texture!

Once blended together, place a fine strainer over a bowl big enough to hold all of the applesauce so that every last drop has been separated from the remaining solids.

Use a large spoon and press down to squeeze out as much applesauce as you can until there is nothing left to strain off the top.

3) Flavoring

If you like, you can add some extra flavors into your Vitamix applesauce at this time such as cinnamon for a sweet taste, or cayenne peppers for a spicy kick!

To do so, simply pour about 1 teaspoon of sugar and cinnamon (or both!) in with the strained applesauce and stir together well to mix it all together evenly.

If you would like it spicy rather than sweet, use fast-spreading peppers such as habanero peppers and test the heat out by trying just a tiny bit first.

Which Is The Best Vitamix Blender For Applesauce?

Any Vitamix model will work just fine to make applesauce, but the Pro 750 is especially good for making homemade applesauce because of its power and versatility!

It also has a nice touch screen control panel which makes using it very easy.
