Vitamix Container Loose On Base – Troubleshooting

Vitamix containers are designed to fit snugly on their bases, but sometimes they can become loose. This is because of manufacturing defects that cause them to be too small for the base.

Luckily, there is a way to get your container back in place and secure it so it doesn’t come loose again!

All you need is a rubber band or hair tie.

Check out our article for more information about how this trick works.

why is Vitamix container loose on base

Why Is The Vitamix Container Loose On Base?

When the Vitamix container is sitting loosely on the base, it’s typically because of a manufacturing defect.

The container’s design has two raised bumps that fit perfectly into two little notches on the base.

Unfortunately, some containers have bumps that are too low for their corresponding notches, making them seem like they don’t fit at all!

How Can You Fix This Situation?

Luckily, this situation can be fixed by placing a rubber band or hair tie around the container and base just below where the container meets the base.

By doing so, you’re lifting up one of the bumps so it fits into its corresponding notch.

If your pitcher was loose due to a manufacturing defect It will likely be more secure once you apply this trick because you’re lifting up one of the container’s bumps.

However, if your pitcher is already secure on its base, this trick won’t matter much. It will still work to keep it in place, but ultimately there’s nothing wrong with how it fits together in the first place!

By using this trick, you’ll be able to enjoy all your Vitamix creations for even longer without worrying about any accidents happening.

It’s a great way to keep your blender in good working order, and we highly recommend trying this method out.

Frequently Asked Questions

What Are These Bumps And Notches On The Container?

The raised bumps are what fit perfectly into the notches. When the container is sitting loosely, it’s because of manufacturing defects that have caused these bumps to be too low.

Do I Have To Use A Rubber Band Or A Hair Tie?

No! You can use any material you want as long as it will keep your pitcher in place, but rubber bands and hair ties work best because they’re small and easy to come by.  This won’t make much difference whether you do or don’t use one of these two items, but using them might save you some time.

Will This Trick Work If My Pitcher Fits Securely On The Base To Start With?

Yes! This trick is still effective even if you have a secure container. It will keep the pitcher in place, but it won’t do anything to affect how well it fits on the base.

That being said, there’s no harm in trying this out if your blender seems loose for whatever reason. Check out our article for more information about this trick and how it works.
