I’ve always loved the idea of shaved ice, but I never had a way to make it at home.
That is until my Vitamix arrived! Now I can whip up fluffy, perfect snow for any occasion in minutes.
Now, I don’t want to brag, but my blender is AWESOME. It has an incredible 2 horsepower motor that blends just about anything into a smooth, creamy texture.
If you have one of these blenders AND an ice cube tray in your freezer, then you can easily make crushed ice at home!
What Is Vitamix Shaved Ice?
Shaved ice is a popular treat in Scandinavian countries, which consists of soft, fluffy snow that’s finely chopped.
You can usually find it served with syrup or condensed milk dripped over top.

Make Blended Ice In Vitamix
To make blended ice with Vitamix at home all you need to do is fill an ice cube tray halfway with water and freeze overnight. Also, an ice blade attachment works great if you have one.
Then slide the cubes into your Vitamix container and pulse at high speed until they become fluffy white goodness!
You can also try adding fresh fruit juice, vanilla extract, fresh mint leaves, lemonade concentrate in Vitamix – the possibilities are endless!
Try mixing up some different flavors for an extra special treat.
The Benefits Of Blended Ice – Shaved Ice Slushies And More
Blended ice doesn’t melt as quickly as regular ice, which means it can keep your drink cool for longer!
Shredded ice is also perfect if you want less watery shaved ice slushies.
My favorite way to enjoy blended shaved ice in Vitamix is by pairing it with fresh fruit and juice.
I like using orange juice with the scraps of orange (just make sure to dice them really small!), but you can use any kind of citrus you like.
Another great combination would be blueberries and pomegranate juice; or even coconut milk and pineapple chunks!
Just switch up your flavors depending on what fruit is looking good at the store this week.
